Lee Altman: Neshannock’s Leading Man “The Pajama Game” Was Directed By: Mr. Don Frediani Director For the past three years, Neshannock’s male lead in the musicals has been Lee Altman. Lee’s first lead was as a freshman in the musical “Kiss Me Kate.” Then as a sophomore, Lee once again won the starring role, this time as a gangster in “Guys and Dolls.” In the 1987 musical, “The Pajama Game,” he starred as the tough new plant foreman. Besides his musical roles, Lee is active in other school activities. He is the scorekeeper for the girl’s basketball team, a member of the photography club, the baseball team, and the high school choir, where he was selected to the district choir. Look for Lee in the 1988 musical, once again playing the hero of the story. Musical 23

The 1987 musical “Pajama Game,” directed by Mr. Don Fre-diani, was a great success. The plot centered around a fight for a seven and a half cent raise for the employees of a pajama factory. Lee Altman portrayed Sid Sirokian, Anthony Geramita was Vernon Hines, Bridget Villani’s character was the dingy Gladys, and Jean Fortuna was Babe. Other members of the cast included Greg Alexander, Julee Loth, John DiSil-vestri, Tasha Anzalone, and Leslie Menencino. The highlight of the evening was when Anthony dropped his pants. The orchestra was directed by Todd Izzo and Mr. Lou D’Angelo directed the choir. As he always does, Mr. Fred did a fabulous job. There also was a senior citizens night on which the auditorium was packed. Like previous years, after the citizens enjoyed the musical, they were invited into the gym for goodies and punch which were provided by the National Honor Society. This also gave the citizens a chance to meet and talk with the cast. Musical 22 “The Pajama Game

The Jr.- Sr. Prom On Saturday May, 9, 1987, the Neshannock Junior-Senior Prom was held at the New Englander. This year’s theme was “Never Say Goodbye.” In all the prom was a smashing success. Everyone had a great time thanks to the many committees that prepared an enchanting evening. During that special night couples mingled and had a great time. Even after the prom ended the celebrations continued. That night would not have been possible without Mr. Barley’s extreme dedication. And memories wouldn’t have been captured if Mr. Wiczen didn’t video tape this special night. Thanks to all who were involved for their hard work and dedication. 24 Jr.- Sr. Prom
