There are many people who are involved in our activities; people who often go unnoticed by students, faculty, and people outside of the school. These are the officers and advisors who make the special events held during each year possible. For instance, Student Council, along with their advisor, Mr. Barley, sponsor Homecoming. They also purchase the crown and flowers for the queen and all of the members of the court. Mr. Frediani puts in quite a bit of extra duty by directing all of the school plays. The Junior Class officers pay for and, with the help of volunteers, put up all of the decorations for the prom. And for directing the choir and band during concerts and during the musical, Mr. D’Angelo and Mr. Schaffner must be commended for their hard work and dedication to the musicians at Neshannock. To all of those who made the events held during the past year, we thank you for displaying . . . A TOUCH OF CLASS! Activities 12 Activities

Homecoming Pam Evans Is Crowned Queen On Friday, September 18, the Neshannock Lancers played hosts to the Big Red from West Middlesex. But, more importantly, at least as far as some people are concerned, Neshannock celebrated Homecoming. Three girls from the sophmore, junior, and senior classes were chosen in elections about two weeks prior to the Homecoming game. Of course, they experienced the general hoopla that always surrounds the Homecoming court. But, as the game drew near, nervous expectations came as well as the girls worries about such things as their hair, their dress, whether they would fall off of the car they rode, etc. The big evening arrived and everyone was concerned about the rain that had fallen during the week. While the field was not in condition to be used, the court did get to ride around the field, and walked to the front of the stands on the track. Tensions mounted as the drum roll played. The stadium cheered as Pam Evans was named the 1987 Homecoming Queen. After receiving the queen’s flowers and tiara, Pam took her traditional ride around the field, then exit-ted the field the a throng of people waiting to congratulate her. Congratulations to all of the girls who made up the 1987 Homecoming Court. 14 Homecoming
