“Stopping by Woods on a Candidates Carmie Zona, Martha Moreland, and Noralynn Attaway wait with eager anticipation. Whose woods these are I think I know. His house is in the village though; He will not see me stopping here To watch his woods fill up with snow. Thus begins Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening, a poem by Robert Frost and the theme for the 1969 Christmas Dance held in the cafeteria on December 30. The snowy evening began at eight o'clock and continued through the sounds of the Suthern Com- fort, the crowning of the queen, and on to eleven o'clock, when the evening came to a close. A beaming Carmie Zona is crowned Snow Ball Queen by last year's queen Debi Cotton. 22

“Parisian Evening” In the middle of the cafeteria stood the replica of the Eiffel Tower surrounded by white wrought iron benches and multi-colored flowers. Sparkling blue stars dangled from the ceiling. Tiny streets such as la Rue de Dimension were lined with shops and sidewalk cafes covered with red and white awnings. This true Parisian Evening was the Junior-Senior Prom held on May 16th in the cafeteria. Entertained by the Graduates, couples strolled along the French Rues and had pictures taken in front of the Arc de Triomphe. As the evening came to a close, everyone sadly departed under a rose-covered trellis in hopes of returning again someday.
