SENIOR HIQWRH In September, l9h5, five girls and four boys began their freshman year at Neptune High School. We entered with the attitude that we had just begun and were going on. During our freshman year one mem- ber, Ruth Goodwin, dropped out because of a change of residence. Herbert Harner also left us during the summer, leaving only seven of us to continue on, To direct our activities for the year, we chose Lois Baer to be our president, with Mrs. Stratton as our class adviser. The next fall our class began another year as sophomores: we numbered seven this year. This year we had a change of supervisors: Mr. Grice was ready and willing to help us solve any problems that would hinder us from going on. Elden Houts was chosen to tuide us during the year. Beginning the junior year, our number was in- creased to eight by Jack Sweigart who decided to re- turn to school after dropping out the year before. This balanced our class with four boys and four girls. This year was the beginning of larger activ- ities. We gave our class play entitled nHere Comes the Princev with Miss Yewey as director and adviser of our class. On May 17 we held a reception for our upper classmen, the Seniors, in Fort Wayne at the Hotel Indiana. Lois Baer was our president to lead us through the junior year. We all went on to the last year of high school. Our fourth year saw a small senior class take over at Neptune High. We are all still working faithfully for our goal. Many events occurred this year. We had our pictures taken at Van Wert, Ohio. We chose our Commencement speaker and decided on other smaller items that go along with the closing of our high school days. On March 25 we cave our class play entitled HHere Comes Charlien with Miss Yewey as director. We were very pleased to have Miss Yewey as our sponsor again after a successful year when we were juniors. Lois Baer was chosen to lead us through our senior year. Our greatest high- light of the year is our plan for a class trip to Niagara by boat when school is out.
