IN MEMORY OF JAMES CLINEBELL This page of the forty-first edition of The Zephyr is to honor the memory of James Clincbcll, who passed away suddenly on December 22, 1987 at the age of forty. He played an active role in the lives of many N.H.S. students. Besides teaching all of the science classes in the junior high, he taught Biology I and II, chemistry, and physics at the high school. Mr. Clinebell coached the grade school boys basketball team and the track teams of both the high school and the grade school. He taught at Neponset from 1981 to 1985, a total of four years. Mr. Clinebell was well liked by all of his students. One of the reasons he was so well liked was because he rarely became angry with his students. Also, he is remembered for his wide variety of interests and activities. Several times, he provided entertainment at school functions by singing folk songs and accompanying himself by playing the guitar. Other interests involved ecology, acting, and writing, particularly poetry. Therefore we, the members of the Annual Staff along with the rest of the student body of Neponset High, would like to express our deepest appreciation in remembering Mr. Clinebell, the teacher that he was, and all that he did for his students.
