Dedication We, the Annual Staff of 1987, wish to dedicate this fortieth volume of the Zephyr to Dr. Linda Gustafson. Before coming to N.H.S., Mrs. Gustafson earned her bachelors, masters and doctorate degrees from the University of Maryland. From 1970 to 1980, she taught at Columbia, MD and at Dixon, IL from 1980 to 1984. She also has many society memberships and additional valuable experiences. In her two short years at N.H.S., Mrs. Gustafson has worked very hard with the student body. She has especially worked hard with the seniors helping each of them choose the right college with all possible scholarships. Some of her duties at N.H.S. include Freshman class sponsor, Student Council sponsor, teaching the computer math class, transportation director, as well as being principal. She has kept very busy planning activities including gifts for the Senior Citizens, dances, bringing back the homecoming bonfire and parade, and most of all, the National Honor Society. She also has brought recognition to those who deserve it. Along with the important things, Mrs. Gustafson has brought to N.H.S. enthusiasm, pride, and an aquarium complete with goldfish. We would also like to thank and recognize Mrs. Gustafson for her unending support and dedication to Neponset High School and its students.
