FHA Sparkles Into a Fun-Filled Year Kirsey Nash and Sally Dahl proudly show off the chapter display board on which the Neponset Chapter of FHA received a first-place rating at the FHA State Convention. Several of the girls and Mrs. Davis attended the convention in Springfield. Selina Shores portrays Mrs. Gerrond during the noon hour initiation skit while other actresses included Tami Milnes as Mr. Nell, Nancy Stabler as Mr. Curry, Gini Gruszeczka as Mrs. Davis, and Missy Stuckey as Mrs. Gustafson. In comprising an eventful FHA calendar for the school year. FHA officers prepare for the local chapter’s cookie sales. Officers were Marla Stabler, Treasurer; Wendy Bates, Secretary; Julie Golby, Vice-President; Sally Dahl, President; Nancy Stabler, Historian; Mrs. Davis. Advisor, and Jo Scott, Public Relations. 29

F.H.A. members seem eager to begin a new year full of exciting events. Kneeling are Tami Milnes. Kari Moore, Kris Griffith, Laurie Canellos, Jo Scott. Sally Dahl, Wendy Bates, Julie Golby, Marla Stabler, Nancy Stabler, Kirsev Nash, Gini Gruszeczka, and Angie Morris. Standing are Genia Van Wynsberghe, Marley Crockett, Jennie Scott, Paula Cambron, Brad Smith, Advisor Mrs. Davis, Selina Shores, Karen Hechtner, Kellie Monroe, Sara Kelly, Chelese Guthrie, Stacy Dahl, and Missy Stuckey. F.H.A. provided a monthly newspaper called “The Track”. Staff members consisted of Editor Chelese Guthrie, Julie Golby, Genia Van W’ynsberghe. Kirsey Nash, Stacy Dahl, and Missy Stuckey. A main event for F.H.A. this year was the field trip to Peoria. In front of the Peoria Journal Star, modeling their printer’s hats are Kellie Monroe, Wendy Bates, Genia Van W’ynsberghe, Chelese Guthrie, Jo Scott, Marley Crockett, Mrs. Davis, Jennie Scott, and Laura Rakes. One of F.H.A.’» major projects this year was baking and selling Christmas and Valentine cookies. Jo Scott, Kris Griffith, and Kellie Monroe exhibit cookies during lunch hour in hopes of taking many orders. 28

Julie Golby helps Marla Stabler, a new member on the staff, to decide on the placement of some pictures on her rough draft pages. Coca Cola provided several Annual Staff members with a refreshing taste while also providing the theme for this year’s Zephyr. The staff would like to thank John Howard for his work on the cover design. 30
