Jennie Scott, (Top Row) Sol Shaner, Richard Gunning, and Phil Miller. To become members, these people have earned a varsity letter in athletics. Secretary Lori Peterson, Treasurer Kendra Heise. President Richard Gunning, and Vice-President Tony Bennett gather for a discussion of possible club activities. One of the club's activities enjoyed by the members was that of attending a Bradley basketball game. 19

Student Council Keeps the Good Times Goins During the election year, the Student Council members kept in pace with their many activities. Reminiscing about their activities during the busy election year are Student Council members consisting of Susan Verbout, Kendra Heise, Julie Duff, Laurie Canellos, Paul Hansen, Adviser Mr. Kenady, Karen Hechtner, Jo Scott, Marley Crockett, and Phil Miller. Laurie Canellos, treasurer; Kendra Heise, president; Marley Crockett, secretary; and Susan Verbout, vice-president seem to be really enthusiastic about crushing all those aluminum cans which the Council recycled. Other activities of the Council involved sponsoring a movie night in April and a dance in March. 18

Small Numbers Composing one of the smallest bands in the history of N.H.S., Haquel Kaiser. Julie Duff, Solomon Shaner, Lori Peterson, Jo Scott, and ('indy Sissel seem to have their director. Mrs. Page. amused. Having so few students in band obviously caused some limitations; however, the organization participated in several activities during the year including concerts, playing at games, contest, and enjoyed a field trip to a musical in the Spring. In order to raise funds for the music department, band members sold oranges and grapefruit earlier in the year. Between selections, the three Senior Pep Band members pose with their rendition of the Three Stooges. Performing between the boys games at Central is the Pep Band. However, some members do become distracted at times. Right. Cindy and Kendra? Troy Craine and Mrs. Page make a final analysis of his solo for the music contest held at Dunlap. Troy received a first place rating on his trumpet solo. 20
