Teachers Promote “Student” Mr. Larry Freeman jump to block the volleyball in his first-hour of physical education. Along with three other hours of physical education, Mr. Freeman also taught American Government and American History. He was also the Freshman Class Sponsor. Mr. Dave Jarrett looks on to see that Richard maintains the correct timing during an individual lesson. Being Mr. Jarrett's first year of teaching, he taught band and chorus at both the grade school as well as providing individual instruction for students throughout the day. Mr. Jim Clinebell looks joyous after looking up from his microscopic view of pond life. Mr. Clinebell taught Biology I II, chemistry, along with grade school science. During the year, Mr. Clinebell received a state grant enabling him to develop several computer programs to be utilised by the students and staff at N.H.S. Although he had taught previously, this was Mr. Clinebeirs first year in the Neponset School system. 24

Staff Mrs. Carol Gerrond goes over another daily assignment turned in by one of her students. She taught all English c lasses at N.H.S. and served as the librarian. Again this year, she sponsored Mask Script which entailed directing all of the plays. (Far left) Mrs. Judy Webb illustrates how to find the slope of a line to the advanced math students. She worked hard throughout the year teaching Algebra I II, advanced math, and junior-high math. Mrs. Webbs extracurricular duty was that of being Senior Class Sponsor. (Middle left) Misa Clark prepares to remove a stencil from the mimeograph machine while helping to run off some programs. Miss Clark s duties included teaching typing, shorthand, and French. She was also kept busy by serving as advisor for the cheerleaders and the Junior Class. Mr. John Nell checks out the dummy lay-out binder to see that all annual staff pages have been completed. Mr. Nell taught course in basic math, geometry, introductory business, accounting, and driver education. Besides his teaching duties, he was occupied by being advisor for the Annual Staff. 23

“Progress Show” Jack Scott demonstrates the proper usage of a fire extinguisher to the suff members during the teacher's workshop held at the beginning of the school year. Mrs. Chris Kniep eagerly unwraps some articles of food so she can make a salad for a classroom demonstration. Mrs. Kniep taught home economics, health, consumers education, and was advisor of the F.H.A. In addition, she taught two home economics classes at Bradford High School. Mr. Clinebell grades some Biology II tests as his students begin their study of the next chapter in their textbooks. 25
