at M W«S. Mr. Roger Jepson also acquired leaching duties at the grade school. He taught junior high math. At N.H.S. he taught Algebra I, advanced math, and world geography. Mr. Jepson also served as Senior Class sponsor. Mr. Larry Freeman had a busy year as he taught four P.E. classes, U.S. History, World History and Health. Mr. Freeman was also Sophomore Class sponsor. Mr. John Kime continued this year to share his agricultural leaching duties with Kewanee and Neponsei. As FFA leader, Mr. Kime supervised the ag farm. Mr. Kime inspects the arc welder prior to use in class. 27

Mrs. Fleming looks at a group of slides to choose some to supplement a laboratory presentation. Mrs. Mary Ann Block once more taught all home ec. classes and consumer economics. She also guided three senior girls in independent studies. The areas studied were child development, refinishing furniture, cooking, and sewing. Mrs. Block was FHA sponsor. Miss Marjorie Clark's teaching duties included Typing 1 and II, Shorthand I and II, and French I and II. As well as serving as Junior Class sponsor and French Club sponsor, she watched a study hall at the grade school. Mrs. Joyce Fleming was a new addition to the teaching staff of N.H.S. She had a very heavy schedule for a first-year teacher as she not only taught Biology I and II and advanced science at the high school, but also taught junior high science. Mrs. Fleming also sponsored the Freshman Class. 26

F cufty £[u tes Light Ow Tte Subj cte Mr. Weber energetically conducts the band at the High School Music Contest. Mr. John Nell taught business classes consisting of Introduction to Business, Bookkeeping I and II, as well as basic math and drivers ed. A real test of his memory was teaching Plane Geometry after a lapse of seven years. Of course Mr. Nell again served as advisor of the Zephyr. Mr. Larry Weber worked hard as band and chorus director preparing students for concerts and contests in grade school as well as high school. Mrs. Carol Gerrond taught five English classes. She also took care of the library making sure all books were in the proper places. Being advisor of Mask and Script, Mrs. Gerrond produces fall and spring plays. 28
