 Daily, for two years, Ray Schuyf could be seen doing all of the odd jobs about the school. He was the one who kept fuel in the fire to keep the building warm and us with it. He was often called upon to do little favors for us and did them willingly. Eveline Lyford, who has been the secretary at NHS for five years received her secretarial training in Kewanee. She must have a willing ear because she hears many problems. She is the treasurer of district 504. As for her job she says she does “just a little bit of everything.” Does she like her work? “1 SURE do.” i 5

Mr. Hal sail has brought many changes to NHS. Some arc harder to accept than others but they are all for our own good. He has his B.S. and M.S. degrees and has attended Illinois State University and Western Illinois University. This is his first year as our administrator. He also teaches Driver’s Ed. Mrs. Forristall teaches Typing I and 11, Shorthand, and Bookkeeping 1 and II. She received her B. Ed degree from Illinois State at Normal. As Sponsor of the Annual, she is the “accountant” of everything that goes into it. Mrs. Gerrond teaches English I, II, III, IV, and Speech. She has a B. S. and attended Illinois State University For eight years she has taught at NHS. She sponsors Mask and Script, dramatics, and the cheerleaders. Mrs. Morrison teaches French I and II here at NHS and does double duty by going to Kewanee High School and teaching English I there. This is her first year at NHS. She has a B. A. from Illinois State University. Mr. Luther teaches Ag. I, II, III, IV, and sponsors FFA. After twenty-four years at NHS he must have many memories to plough through. He has a B.S. in Ag and attended the University of Wisconsin. Mrs. Block teaches Home Ec. I, II, III, and IV. She received her B.S. at ISU. Alone she sponsors the FHA, mending many problems. Also she is co-sponsor of the Junior class and has been at NHS for four years. Mr. Nell teaches General Math, Algebra 1 and II, Geometry, and Advanced Math. He has a B.S. at Western Illinois University. This adds up to his third year at NHS. He is co-sponsor of the Junior class. 6
