WITNESSED BY: Susan Dickerson Susanjo Kidd Pam Pickering 68 Prophecy I and my 11 sons and 1 daughter were on our way back to visit Neponset for my class reunion and to celebrate Neponset’s sesquicentennial in the year 2, 005. Thanks to the overwhelming success of our Sex Education Course in our Senior year the small town of 500 inhabitants I left, was now expanded to the unbelievable population of one million as a result of the great baby boom in the year 1975. As our train came to a halt at the Neponset Depot I saw a truck waiting to unload cattle. To my surprise Jo Kidd was behind the wheel. From talking with her I learned that she had inherited her father's trucking company. As I was coming out of the depot, I saw Playboy, Steve Bradley driving his batmobile. He offered me a ride. I learned that he now spends his time as a tourist guide showing people around the great city of Neponset. His pastime is gambling at the Bunny Hut which is owned by another classmate, Dick Hodgett. I was told that the Bunny Hut was the place in Neponset. Guided by Steve, I went to the Neponset Public Hospital. I saw that Pam Pickering had fulfilled her dream and is now head nurse at the Hospital. She informed me that Dr. Ellis Hepner had made quite a name for himself with his scientific breakthrough in a hormone to stimulate growth. Seven Foot Ellis is a living testimony that it worked. Next I went to the High School where I saw two former classmates employed. Sue Dickerson was Home-Ed teacher and her after school hours were devoted to twirling lessons. Hearing groans from the gym, I looked in and found Pat Wall teaching P. E. and at the moment giving tumbling lessons. HALL Biggest Flirt Faye Steve Sale’s Pest Marlene Ross Sale’s Pet Sue D. Darkest Hair Nadine Dick I decided that I would get a new evening gown and Steve dropped me off at Carson Pirie Scotts, where I was greeted by the owner, Pam Swearingen. I decided that I should find a room for the night. Steve took me to the Sugar Bowl Plaza, which is an extension of the old Sugar Bowl. I learned that the owner was Julie Tremont. First on the agenda for the evening was to go to Neponset's version of Marine Land and there I watched Faye Luther training porpoises for the Olympic team. I journeyed over to the Amphitheater for the evening program. The first speaker was Marlene Miller, who gave an interesting talk on her latest exploits in darkest Africa. Marlene is now an accomplished big game hunter. Next, Mark Bowen, now a famous comedian was entertaining the public. I saw that he was still up to his old tricks. Nadine Kaiser, now a great opera, singer thrilled the audience with her beautiful voice. To close the evening program we were surprised by a visit from the President of the United States, Sue Craine. As Steve took me and my 12 children back to the depot, he informed me that Ross Morris, whom I hadn't seen, was now a hippy known as Big Daddy, and still hot-rodding down the streets of K-town. As I waited for my train, I saw many planes flying over head which Steve explained to me were Barb Stetson's crew that she trains to parachute. As I depart I found my visit to my home town very exciting and surprising.
