Coach Larry Freeman Coach Robert Maas YEARS OF EXPERIENCE Mrs. Phyllis Nordstrom claims Typing 1 II, Bkkg, Gen. Business for her teaching hours. She received a BS from ISU. This is her first year here from a total of 3. She sponsors the annual Jr. Class. Mr. Robert Maas came to NHS immediately after receiving his BS from NIU in Jan., 1965. He teaches five math courses. Mr. James Draeger holds a Bach, of Music from Vandercook College. He directs the band as well as freshman and concert chorus. This is his second year of teaching at Neponset. Home Ec. I, II, and III are taught by Mrs. Mary Ann Block. She received her BS from ISU. She is sponsor of the FHA and the Jr. class. This is her 1st year at NHS from a total of 6. 7

FACULTY BOASTS 63 £ Mr. Vernon Luther has taught Vocational Agriculture at NHS for the past 21 years. He received his B.S. in agriculture at the University of Wisconsin and sponsors the Senior class and FFA. Mrs. Carol Gerrond received her B.S. in education at Illinois State University. She has been teaching English at NHS for the past 5 years and is sponsor of Dramatics. Mrs. Helen Pickering received her B.A. at the U. of I. She has been teaching French at NHS for the past 2 years and this year she is also the World History instructor. Mr. Larry Freeman is the coach, Biology and American History teacher. Eureka College awarded Mr. Freeman with his Bachelor of Arts 5 years ago. He has taught here all 5 years. 6

Over 60 rolls of film were shot to achieve the desired pictures. Businessmen contributed $560 in advertisements . . . and all for you--the most important person to the staff.
