WILL We, the Senior Class of 1964, being of sound mind and body, do make, publish, and declare this our last will and testament. The Faculty: To Mr. Honn, our principal, we will that look of being busy during seventh hour Study Hall. To Mr. Luther we leave all the tools we've misplaced. To Mrs. Gerrond we will all those long discussions in English. We'll never forget some of those questions. To Mr. Freeman we will a six-foot-nine, two hundred and eighty pounds freshman boy for winning football and basketball teams. To Mrs. Pollpeter we will a volleyball so she can practice. To Mrs. Heavner we give the messes we left in the kitchen. To Mr. Mellen we leave those sour notes we somehow played. To Mrs. Rollins we will all the times we wanted to get in the office and couldn't. To Mr. Gerrond, our janitor, we leave the crumpled papers behind the radiators: oh, and George, there's one mouse behind there which you may also keep. The Underclassmen: To the Freshmen we will our ability to get along with one another and have fun. To the Sophomores we give our good (?) grades. To the Juniors we will our ways to earn money as easily as possible. Individual Necessities: JIM BERRY wills his weekends in Kewanee to Brad Currier. Take care Brad! BARB CARLEY leaves her flirting ability to Pat Brady. TIM GOLBY leaves his speaking abilities to Nancy Jackson. JOHN GERROND wills his height to Marlis Hepner. Remember to duck, Marlis! DAN GUNNING gives his abilities in sports to Dennis Jackson. PAM HOLSCLAW leaves her wig to Myma Burnett. We have noticed she likes a change now and then. MARY KAISER wills her contact lenses to Mike Berry. BOB JOHNSON wills his truck to LeRoy Dana. Take it easy in Kewanee for that truck has quite a reputation. DOUG MILES leaves his carefree attitude to Ron Gerard. CAROL MILLER leaves her ability to get along with her boyfriend to Kathy Berry. Good luck Kathy. DAWN wills her complaining attitude to Celia Wood. JIM ROBINSON wills his size twelve Weberly boots to Sherry Williamson. Don’t trip. Sherry. MARILYN SHANER leaves her cheerleading talents to Becky Hood. LOUISE SWEARINGEN leaves her ability to giggle at any time or place to Sherry Stabler. JAY VERBOUT leaves his artistic talents to John Kares; maybe he'll be another Rembrandt. POEM We’re the class of ’64; The teachers here will curse no more. Behind us are 12 years of knowledge; Now we're set to enter college. But, first, before we have to go, We want Neponset folks to know About each pupil in this class-Every lad and every lass! Alphabetically prepared, A stanza for each student’s shared. Henry Longfellows we are not. So, please, don’t laugh if something doesn't rhyme. Jim Berry is a friendly lad-Always smiling, never sad. At dances known as swivel-hips, Jim's always glad to take a tip. Barb Carley also graduates; For college days she cannot wait. As reigning Queen she's shed some tears; Good luck to her in future years. Tall John Gerrond will be missed After high school is dismissed. Toward college John has turned his eye; The world will look when he walks by. Center on the football team; Public speaking with a gleam. Of course, you know who this must be, Tim Golby's the celebrity. Dan Gunning is intelligent; Many hoi rs on studies spent. Athletics were his high aim; He’s sure to gain himself much fame. Pam Holsclaw is a friendly girl. Glad to give the boys a whirl, With pen or pencil she can draw Anything without a flaw. Bob Johnson is quite studious; He’s taught us to be dutious”; Never shirking, ne’er a tear. He was our President this year. Mary Kaiser is quite smart-She knows studies like an art. In any field she will succeed Through life’s parade she’s sure to lead Lefty is a Senior, too. (Doug Miles as he’s known to you.) He used to be a real clown. But, someone really tamed him down. Carol Miller is attractive; In band and chorus she is active. Her grades reveal she gave her all-in future years she will not fall. Dawn Morris is a lot of fun; To keep her pace one has to run. Neatness is a trait of hers Which will show through in future years Jim Robinson is quite a guy-We doubt if he will go awry. Figures are his interest- But, these as numerals are dressed. Marilyn Shaner is quite sweet-For one fine boy she’s left her feet. The last 12 years have flown quite fast. And college days are here at last. Louise is everybody’s friend; She will help you to the end. Many pranks she has displayed-And many teachers she has grayed. Jay Verbout’s an athlete- None but sports can quite compete. For college he is set to go So future years will make him dough. The class of '64 unfurled To take their place out in the world. Though each will separate in life, They’ll each find happiness-not strife. Today we follow, tomorrow we lead. ’’ This has been our Senior creed. Do good things--we know we should; Then N. H, S. has done some good. Our coach is quite a funny guy-Always clever, sometimes shy. Two years as sponsor of our gang Has taught us to respect his fang.
