CLASS HISTORY In September '51, twenty-four freshmen began their experiences in N. H. S. After we were acquainted with high school habits, we were initiated and became one of the family. During that year Pat and Steve were in the all-school play. Richard, Howard, and Paul earned track letters. VVe spon- sored the Valentine Party, which was a huge success. Keith Failon transferred at the end of this year. We started our sophomore year by initiating the green freshmen. During the year Dixie Hansen transferred to Galva. Several students took part in the all-school play. Pat was in the contest play also. Verna, Jeanette, Myrtle, and VVendell, sang solos at contest. Sandra and Howard played saxophone solos. Steve got a letter in football. Richard got one in football and basketball. During our junior year we sold candy at noon and at games. Pat was a cheerleader. We sponsored the St. Patrick's Party. Pat and Verna were in the contest play. Viola, Myrtle, Peg Pratt, Arrolin, jean, Wendell, and Richard were in the all-school play. Verna, Myrtle, and Jeanette sang solos at contest, receiving State finals, second, and first respectively. Wendell and Marvin got letters in football. Terry received one in basketball and Steve, Richard, and Francis, won letters in both football and basketball. Our most exciting project of the year was the Pro-rn. Our banquet was held at Hotel Clark in Princeton. We returned to the gymnasium decorated to the theme of South Pacific and danced to the music of Rudy james. We were anxious for our last year. This being our last year, one big project is our annual. The editor is Steve and assistant editor is Merrill. Pat, Viola, jean, and Myrtle were elected cheerleaders. We sponsored the Christmas Party. Those earning letters in football were Richard, Duane, VVendell, Marvin, Francis and Steve. Pat, Francis, and VVendell took part in the one act play. Our high school days are coming to a close.
