LETTERMAN’S CLUB This year has been an exceptionally fine one for Neoga athletes and their athletic teams. It has been, perhaps, as fine a year as any in the history of the school. In hagphalt, Neoga placed second in the conference after winning six ball games and losing only two. The record in basketball showed Neoga winning seventeen ball games and losing only eight. The Indians wound up third in a hard fought race for the conference title. Neoga also won second in the conference tournament after losing a tight final game to T-Town, whom we had beaten twice before. Two seniors, Alan Ashbrook and David Greeson, were named to the All-Conference five, and Don Brown was fourth in conference scoring. This year was Neoga’s best yet in track since the sport was introduced here in 1950. The team raced home with third place honors in the conference meet and made respectable showings in the Pana Open, the El meet, the Regional and the big meet at Dupo. These lettermen's finest records, however, are in the fields of scholarship, sportsmanship, courtesy, and decency, and in these fields the men of the Letterman's Club are unequaled anywhere.
