Among the Supermtendents we have had not a few have been educatois of sterling quality men endowed with more than ordinary ability but none if we may Judge man by his accomplishments ap preach the excellence of ou1 present supervisor Professor H P Study On coming to Neodesha Mr Study found school affairs in a peculiar condition he discoy eied a good old sthool system complacently riding the vvayes while an anchor of lethargy was slowly dragging the good sl p to rest in a sea of inertia An awakening was needed if progress 'md advancement weie to be expected and Mr Study with his ag man to play Martin Luther to Neodesha s public school system and cast defiance to the old older of things He has now been with us for only one year yet reducing results to a mathematical proposition it is entirely reasonable to assert that the general efficiency and standard of the whole school system has been augmented fully Hfty per cent under his regime quite a remarkable recoid for a single year of service As a man he IS first of all pur poseful each deed of his finding support in a Well defined course of action Thus the students have found him rigid in discipline firm of conviction absolutely squaie and willing to sacrifice his personal feel ings in order that the school might be advanced As a friend both teachers and students have found hmm big hearted sincere and sociable SEBI ready to perform those many friendly services which as superm tendent naturally fall to his lot To what heights of efficiency then can we not expect Neodeshas schools to ascend with such a man at the helm?
