MR. J. B. M. CARTER Superintendent Nelson County is very fortunate in having Superintendent J. B. M. Carter as head of the public school system. Mr. Carter’s ad¬ ministrative ability, his warmth of person¬ ality, and his genuine interest in boys and girls have endeared him to one and all. The members of the Annual Staff of 1962 salute you, Mr. Carter, as an outstanding superintendent of schools. MRS. JUNE DALE HARRIS, Secretary MRS. DOROTHY WHITE, Secretary At this time in our lives as students, we become aware of the administration of business - big’ business and small” business are much in the forefronts of our minds. The true business details of the organization of the school system are handled capably by these two ladies. Mrs. Harris remains at the school board office to answer the never ceasing phone calls. Mrs. White goes from school to school in the fall to handle the book orders. They make the big and small business run smoother.

tyv. j£. Principal ,h kff. i fe ‘ -5 i H »r f ' JO , V Mr. Harville established his reputation as a hard worker and a good organizer while he was at Nelson County High School as assistant principal. It was, therefore, a pleasure to welcome him back as princi¬ pal this year and find these same admirable qualities among us once more. Mr. Harville does not ask more of his faculty than he requires of himself. The standard that he sets for both is high and it demands the giving of ones very best for the boys and girls of Nelson County. The School is not the only area in which Mr. Harville ' s influence is felt. The whole community is enriched by his activities in the church and in civic organizations. His willingness to serve and his able performance have made him a favored speaker at county functions. Because of his dedication to the total program of the school and the community which it serves, Nel¬ son County High School feels that it is indeed fortunate in having Mr. Harville as its new principal. 13
