On-The-Job According to a student survey, about jobs, the students of Armstrong are employed in many different types of work. Food service rboth fast food and restaurants; foc- tory work, secretarial jobs, mechanics, aids and kitchen work in nursing homes, soles, grocery jobs, and jonitor work, are some examples. Some other results of the sur- vey: - 6496 of the Armstrong students who responded to the survey work: 4 out of 20 have a full-time job - Almost 7596 work both weekdays and weekends - Average number of hours worked per week ran from 0 minimum of 2 to a high of 60 with more than half working 20 or more hours per week e About V4 of the students feel that their jobs inter- fere with their school work, while more than half feel that employment interfered with social life - Woges ran from $4.00 to $8.00 an hour. 7096 made $3.00 an hour but less than 4096 make more than $4.00 an hour - Seniors represent more than half of those having jobs, with juniors coming next with 2396, and soph- omores with 1996 - The highest percentage of people work in restau- rants and nursing homes
