At last a new word can describe the people and situations at Armstrong--it's not apathetic anymore, it's changing. More than ever the building, the people, and the curriculum are changing. After years of drifting with the times a new Armstrong is beginning to emerge. We've picked up on the ideas of 76377 and are striking out on our own, in a new direction. Even the building received a face lift over the summer. Colored walls now adorn floor two and a half. A tiled wall, still clean, stands proudly in the cafeteria. At times the administration was forced to gently prod us towards needed change. The token system, like the segregated lockers, worked despite scorn. School spirit took off more than ever this year. The Homecoming revisions which started in l976, soared in l977. A committee dedicated to making this year the best went all out. New events and pagentry started the year out on a spirited note. From then on nearly every event and celebration drew forth more and more enthusiasm and participation. Armstrong High School continues to offer challenges and opportunities for those who wish to accept them. This year, however, the students began adopting for themselves, rather than simply accepting what was offered. A year of growth came to Armstrong in '77-78. A year of change for all who were willing to make things just a little better.
