Smiles From Confetti To Crowns BOOGAHI BOOGAHI Puzzled faces stared at the speaker blaring out morning announcements. What was that all about? It was just a beginning to the enthusiasm that overtook us during homecoming 77. That enthusiasm grew from day to day as Homecom- ing week went on. Excitement and fun included decoration of resource rooms by individual teams and later judged by captains and our queen, brat sales, car and skateboard contests and coronation. The Homecoming Variety Show featured brilliant bands, marvelous midgets. sensational singers. hilar- ious hair poems. and. of course, a guaranteed good time. The pep fest on Friday was a good indication of spirit. Accompanying the challenge yells. cheers. dances and the Armstrong Fight Song were arm- wrestling championships and changes in schedule due to rain UGHI Despite the weather, Thursday and Friday nights were host to soccer and football games where spirit abounded. Alumni were greeted with balloons, a freshly painted field and a new queen and court. Festivities ended on Saturday night with the tradi- tional Homecoming dance; a chance to let the ex- citement of the week out in one final blast and Boo- gie . . .or was it BOOGAH?
