They stand out as reminders that the laws of nature and God still prevail, and display the virtues of mankind we constantly strive to attain. As the trees, may we look forward with confirmed determination to better serve our fellow man. We hope the 1961 Yearbook will help bind the friendships, and retain in our memories the years of our lives as students in Negaunee High. Trees was selected as the theme and inspiration of your Pioneer. As we branch out in life, may the roots we have established guide us, as we encounter the certain ties and problems toward a better world, Go, then, and plant a tree, lovely in sun and shadow, Gracious in every kind-maple and oak and pine.
