Senior History September 7, 1952, was a memorable day for 220 of us as we began our four years at NHS. Our first class activity was the election of our ofiicers - Lyall Stilp, presidentg jim Coenen, vice president, Donna Bork, secretary, Pat Wierckert, treasurer. Under the guidance of our advisor, Mr. Peterson, we worked on such projects as our class float, which won first place, and the freshman class dance, the Coronation. Susan Landig was elected as Homecoming attendant by the freshman boys. This year Ann Norman represented our class during the Homecoming Festivities. The officers in charge of our dance, Stardust, were Tom Kress, presidentg Stuart Monard, vice president, Judy Page, secretary, and Pat Werling, treasurer. As juniors we immediately began planning for our Prom by electing competent class officers. They were Terry Tuttrup, presidentg jim Neubauer, vice-presidentg janet Mueller, secretaryg Bev Frakes, treasurer. They in turn chose Rose Schloemer and Peter Miedke as co-chairman for Young at Heart , the theme of the Prom.

Janis Ruthven was chosen as Homecom- ing attendant and Pat Wieckert represented us as Venetian attendant. Mary Albert, joan Alferi, Sue Chudacoif, Rose Schloemer, and Pat Werling were elected to the National Honor Society. Pat Wer- ling also attended Badger Girl's State. Attending Badger Boy's State were Paul Thomsen, Peter Miedke, and Gordon Mortensen. With three years behind us and only one year left to accomplish many things, we elected hard- working senior ofiicers. Pete Miedke, Howie Gil- bertson, Terry Kelly, and Dave Williams-presi- dent, vice president, secretary, and treasurer re- specitively -represented us on many occasions. Career Day was held on October 26, 1955, and many of us chose our future vocations. The Senior boys chose judy Page as Homecom- ing Queen. Later in the year janet Mueller was elected Venetian queen, and Audrey Paul was elected her attendant. For the first time in Neenah High School, the Senior class held a party during Christmas vacation just for seniors and their guests-the Starlight Ball. On May 5, 1956, at the first junior prom in the new gym, Pet Miedke and Emogene Below reigned as king and queen Over the Rainbow . After the Prom, Graduation Week came too soon.
