SENIOR CLASS HISTORY September 7 1951 m nrlted the beginning of our four exciting and wonderful years at Neenah High School Under the careful gutdance of our advisor Mr Beger we conducted our first class elections We 1 3 3 elected Bob Kerrngan Prestdent Rufus Ihde Vtce President Shirley DeBroka Secretary and Marian Brown Treasurer 'lhe Girls Senate Board was elected and our representatn es were Susan O Leary Barbara Paff Beverly Metz Karen Lange and oan Popp The girls had a wonderful time getting acquainted with the upper classmen at the Big and Little Sister Party held tn the auditorium September 19 A few weeks later we entertained our mothers at the Mother Daughter Tea 'lhe boys elected Nancy Mtckelson as our Homecoming attendant that year As the girls were yotntng more acttvtttes the boys were out wmntng games tn footblll and basketball and placing high tn our conference sports Mr Dunwtddte Hrubecky OLeary l-alck ncrcc We began our sophomore year wtth a new advisor vsho was to remain with us through the rest of our high school career Mr Beger moved so Mr Dunwtddte took over his job Our class officers were lom Murphy President Vmce Sprtnger Vice President Barbarx Schtebler Secret iry 1nd Bev Metz Treasurer Mardee Rohde was chosen to be our homecoming attendant Mary Jultus Nancy Kaufman Carol Vogt Marvelyn Stuebs and Mary W11ta were elected to the Girls Senate Board This year our class started to raise money by having cookie sales which were very success ful May 19 we had our umor Sophomore night Our junior year was a very busv year We started off by electing Franklin Hochholzer Presndent Dave Petersen Vice President Ruthie Pyott Secretary and Barbara Pali' Treasurer Marian Brown Mary Sttnskt Ruth Halverson Nancy Onstad and Nina Thermansen were chosen for the Girls Senate Board This year our float placed second tn the homecoming parade We had a big shoe wtth the slogan We ll Walk All Over Menasha Barbtra Piff and Nancy Hammel were co attendants We watched our team tie for first place Again we had our popular cookie sales for raising money for our prom which was held May 8 Paula Brazeau and Dick Bartel reigned over Mtdmght Moon Tony Winters furnished the music Four classmates were elected to the National Honor Society Beth Zabel Mary Wuta Janet Borgen and Dave Leaman Mary Wuta also went to Badger Girls State 'Iom Malchow Bill Sund and Dave lea man attended Badger Boys State We began our last year with the idea that we would accomplish as much as we could and get as much as possible out of every day of school Leading our class was Fred Hrubecky President Gordon Falclt Vice President Susan OI.eary Secretary and 1m Pterce 'lreasurer Our float placed second nn the homecoming parade and Ruthie Pyott reigned as queen Our football team won the championship for the first time m the history of Neenah High School Nancy Hammel Yvonne Nwollerman jackie Anderson Bernice Goetz and Gloria Hnntz were members Girls Senate Career Day October 27 found all of us thtnkmg about our future md planning what to do We held our dance February 18 Elected to the National Honor Society 1n our senior year werc Marmn Brown Mans lrdmann Bar bara Paff Carol Vogt and Bill Sund May 7 Fred Hrubecky and Barbara Muth reigned at the prom Our four years it N H S ended une 8 when we received our diplomas and graduated 16- Q. fy' - ' n . . l . , , 4 L, . - .
