RICHARD NEUBAUER lin Memnriam May 5, 1952, one of our classmates was called from us, the first of our number to go through the silent portals. Dick will always be remembered by those who knew him as one whose friend- liness and enthusiasm won him a ready welcome wherever he went. invariably he faced the future with cheerful and hopeful optimism. The remembrance of his consideration and concern for others will ever set a high standard for each of us. 28

JUNIOR CLASS Along with the other classes, the juniors elected officers in the beginning of the year. Frank Hochholzer was chosen president, Dave Petersen, vice president, Barbara Paff, treasurer, and Ruth Pyott, secretary. The first bit of business the juniors took care of this year was getting the class rings distributed. The rings were ordered the previous spring so they could be used for two full years. The Class of 55 was the first to try this plan and it worked out very successfully. Another project the juniors worked on was making a float for the Pep Parade for the Neenah-Menasha football game. Hard work after school pro- duced a float which took second place in the parade. The prize money for the float, money we earned by selling cookies during the noon hour, and the money we made by sponsoring a dance were used for the Prom. After the first of the year, the Prom kept many of the juniors busy. Cooper- ation and long hours of hard work made the Prom one of the nicest ever held. We all enjoyed our third year at Neenah High, and most of us are looking forward to our senior year and hope it will prove just as successful. l. Boredom ioccasionul typel 2. Then let's get at it 3.
