CONSERVATION CLUB The oflicers of this yearls Conservation Club were: President, Richard Breaker, Vice-President, Carol Roeck, Secretary, Beverly Rewey and Treas- urer, Barbara Hildebrand. The Board members were: Carol Zeinert and james Sturgis, Seniors, ,ludy Dixon and Thomas Kaufman, juniors, Joanne Schultz and Carl lanlcoweski, Sophomores and Nancy Sylvander and Nancy Schneider, Freshmen. The club, with a membership of 158, was one of the schools most active groups. Some of the activities in which members may participate are rabbit trapping, bird feeding, tree planting, the photography group, hiking and other fields pertaining to conservation and general out, door activitv. This year's total rabbit count was 147. On March 17, the chili supper was held. At this supper, these members with the most catches to their credit were honored. From April 16 to 19, twentyvtwo senior boys and girls attended the Trees for Tomorrow Camp at Eagle River, Wiscrinsiri. There the campers were given instruction in everything from lire-fighting to tree planting. Each camper gained a better underf standing of the importance of conservation of natuf ral resources. Each member tries to live up to the motto ol' the club, Be a Good Sport at llcart, and You Will Be Known as Such. All the members do a great service to their school and their community. And once again, the Rocket Echoes, when it came out in May, provided us with some very interesting and entertaining reading.
