D , Velda Reimer K TRALKA , W X N I ' Looking back, September 1943 seems like a long time ago. That was when we juniors first became members of the Neenah High School student body. We made our entrance in quite the usual manner, which is as frosh. With the same eager, fresh outlook typical of Frosh we found our way about. However, it was not until after the Mixer that we really felt like a vital part of the school and that we really belonged. We elected as class officers James Powers, Jack Kolkoski, Lorraine Jacobson, and Bill Tuttle as president, vice-president, secretary, and treasurer respectively. We then decided on Mr. Zenisek as class adviser. We sponsored a dance our first year, and perhaps because we thought we were very exclusive, held a private party for Frosh only. In June, we left our Freshman days behind and felt satisfied that we had made our mark at Neenah High for the first year, and had really shown what we could do. The next September, we returned, feeling quite sure of our abilities, and feeling a little more prepared to meet the demands of High School life, with which we were better acquainted after a yeat's experience on the trial and error basis. As ofiicers, we elected Willis Redlin, president, Tom Stilp, vice president, Ruth McCrary, secretary, and James Lenz, treasurer. We showed that we were an integral part of the student body by helping work for a proposed youth center. This year, we veterans of two years in High School came back and cheerfully faced our third year. We elected as officers Dan Napuck, president, Armin Gerhardt, vice-president, Mardelle Sawyer, secretary, and Velda Reimer, treasurer. We have always shown a lot of school spirit, and this year, more than ever, having cheered our team to a fighting finish. This spring we were kept quite busy with the Junior-Senior Prom, which took place in May, and which was a highly successful social event of the season. Thus three years of our high school life are gone, and we can look forward to a busy, exciting year as seniors, and we hope our last year will be as gratifying as the others. , . ,N H, , r l' ..
