THE CUB Iumor Class Hlstory In the fall of 1926 thrs Hall of Learnmg, the Neenah Hrgh School, took into its walls one hundred and thirty seekers of knowledge W were greeen, and consequently we were placed in the freshman class It was bst suited for our needs At the first class meeting we elected Stanley Severson as presr dent Lobert Bell and Fthel Schnex der were elected vrce president and secretary and treasurer respectwe ly Not many reported for bask t ball or football Fmallv the first year passed and June then vacatron As we entered our second year of hlgh school, we began to feel that we were really a part of the school a deslre to be 1n xts actrv xtres took hold of us Marjorie Sande Emerson Hough and Louis Larson were chosen to lead us The hterary socletxes, the glee clubs and even the Cub staff found several sophomores takmg part m their 3Ct1Vlt1eS In athle tics the class of 30 began to shme Gordon Ehlers and Kenneth Nye received a letter ln basketball The other sports also saw some of us out We certamly cannot forget to mentron that grrls began work mg for therr N s In 192829 we experlenced a very successful y ar Our officers v re Gordon Ehlers presrdent, Al fred Reetz vrc president and Helen Schmvdt secreteary and treasurer The sp ech plays and the operetta showed some of our dramatxc talen Alfred Reetz Gordon Bennett Robert Mott Al bert Fahrenkrug, Dorothy Wen ban Gertrude Larson, and Meta Srelafl' represented us m fhhate James' Shga Elmer Quayle Ar thur V on, Leonard Neubauer Lobert Bell Joe Bersensteln Gor ddn Ehlers Kenneth Nye and Phrllp Hahl all proved valuable on Neenahs eleven In basketball we were represented by Gordon Ehl ers Leonard Neubauer, and Lob rt Bell Our track team consisted of Phrlrp Hahl Emerson Hough I onard Neubauer and Howard Olson In short this IS the hlstorv of the class of 30 Many thrngs could have been added to this hrs tory but we had to grve only the high spots of our hxgh school lrfe The details will remaln cherrsred memorres to us WE RE GETTING THERE The Fresh stood on the raxlroad track T e tra1n was gomg fast, T e Frosh Jumped off the railroad track An let the tra1n go past T e Soph stood on the raxlroad track, tram was commg fast Soph stood on the rarlroad track, An let the tram go past The Junior stood on the rarlroad track tram was comme: fast The Junror lay down on railroad track let the tram go past e Semor stood on the railroad track tra1n was coming fast, The tram Jumped off the rarlroad track And let the Senior go past Clarro T e The The An T e 6 JUNIOR CLASS 1929 Top row reading left to rrght E Jones G Hallock B jensen W McCoy M Wrlhums K Nye E. He s Just one of the best all round good sports rn school He as full of clever pranks and trrcks fperhaps thats why he 15 so pop ularj, but he rs a very good stu dent too Then there rs the ever popular MarJor1e Sande Shes such a good sport and one can have Just the lovehest txmes at her parties She IS such a relrable character, too, and rf anythmg should be promptly and be done well, leave rt to Marge done why, . . . .
