HELLO WEEK The two senior English classes gave a series of six parties for the freshmen, sophomore, and junior English classes, preparatory to Hello Week, held during the week of March 26 to 30. These parties had two purposes: first, that the students might be- come better acquaintedg and second, that the studentS and teachers might become better acquainted. When Hello Week came, the seniors believed the students to be quite well acquainted and that Hello Week would be a big success. Each society in school was given one day of the week of which to have charge. The English classes set a good example on Monday by pass- ing out red and white tags on which the pupils were to write their names, and by having Leo Schubert give us an interesting talk on the possible benefits of Hello Week.' Wednesday was Philo day and the Phxlomatheans also distributed tags on which were wr tten Philo says Hello The other societies had no special programs or novelties for their days Somehow or other H llo Week was not as successful a t should have been but the senior English cla ses deserve a lot of credit for giving the series of parties which did a great deal toward getting the students acquainted THE EXHIBIT The industrial Arts and Domestic Science Exhibit took place on the afternoons and evening of Thursday Friday and Saturday May 24 25 and 26 The object of the exhibit was to gather together those projects that had been made during the year In these departments and to present them before the public in an attractive manner This afforded tne public a sort of birdseye view of what is being done in these depart ments There was a great variety of work shown and individual pro yects showed ingenious endeavor and painstaking effort The work Shown ranged from the First grade on through the high school vocational and evening school work Considerable effort was made by the t achers and students to make 'he exhibit attractive and worth while for the public to see Admission was free to the public and all were cordially invited to vlew and inspect 'he work of the students which proved to be both in terestmg and educational ,mm ,, as 'ffllfu' TZ l'-Jie: NG' ' iff' ff R 7E.',I'JLZ' .Zi-' J- ,-if ef -. .
