We won an atten- dance award and our class ventured to Crowleys Ridge with our sponsors, Mr. Jones and Mr. Cox. In the eighth grade our class saw the election of Jimmy Carter, probably the first election that most of us can remember. Our class also took a trip to Skate City. In the ninth grade we all got to choose our own classes. Mr Bates and Mr. Short were our sponsors. Our tenth year, we took a field trip to Deere Lodge Mr. Bates and Mr. Short were our sponsors. We played football and roasted hot dogs. In our junior year, our prom had the theme, We've got tonight. We used a wishing well Disco Wagon provided the music. Mrs. Denton and Mr. Short were our sponsors. At this time, our nation entered a period of crises. Our American Embassy in Iran was overran and American Hostages were taken Now that our senior year is here, almost everybody is shaping their lives into what they will be Our 40th President, Ronald Reagan, will be taking office. The hostages are still in Iran. The sponsors for our last year at Neelyville are Mr. Short and Mrs. Denton. Larry Talbott Senior Class President 19 SENIOR SNEAK DAY The seniors sneaked off to Big Springs on Sept. 19th for a big fun-filled day. That it was! A few of us risked our lives to climb the mountain overlooking the springs. The big event of the day was a float trip. Even though the water was cold, everyone had a good time and the end of the day came too soon. If we only knew what Mr. Don't you think you're too big for Short was drinking! that, Mrs. Denton? This is something else. Jack in the can. 20 Oh, they're taking a picture of me! 1981 TIGER QUEEN Miss Linda Moyer Selection of TIGER QUEEN is made by KFVS-TV, Cape Girardeau.
