Mr. FRED R. PATTY High School Principal Senior Class Sponsor. As you turn the pages of this 196 3 TIGER, may it bring you pleasant memories of a school year that brought both happiness and the satisfaction of accom- plishment. May it also be a reminder that learning is an essential and continuing process which brings to each individual the reward of a richer and happier life. My congratulations to the 1963 TIGER staff and their advisor, Miss Rogers, for compiling and pre- serving for us this pictorial record of the 1962-1963 school year. MRS. MILDRED VanDOVER Grade School Principal Each human being has a talent, secreted in the depths of himself which is his special gift of life. I hope that each of you will take advantage of this talent; develop it full, and use it well. Whatever you choose to do in life, do it the very best you know how. Education is a necessity that each of us must have so that we may compete in this fast moving world of ours. Education is a companion, which no misfortune can decrease, no crime destroy, and no enemy alien- ate. Education may mean financial sacrifice and mental fatigue, but for every cost, the compensa- tions will be one hundred fold.

SUPERINTENDENT’S MESSAGE It is never a good policy to live in the past, yet there are times when a backward look is revealing as to accomplishments and dis- appointments, gains, and losses. This yearbook depicts a pictorial history of your school days of 1962-63. May it sincerely be a back- ward glance of a truly wonderful year, measured by success, happiness, and intellectual growth. My congratulations to the editor, Janet Taylor; co-editors, Johny Sence, and Wanda Wolverton; and the yearbook advisor. Miss Rogers, for a job well done.
