Bill Reeves � � s elected Pres., Joan Cox, Vice-Pres., Barbara Franklin, Tress., Betty «Valters, Sec., and Jo Janet Brick- ell, Class Reporter. For our Cotton Carnival Queen Candidate we chose Darlene Murray and Bill Reeves as her escort. Then in the year of '51, we advanced from green freshmen to sophomores. «Ve chose Mr. Edward Kimbrough for our sponsor. This year, we chose Jo J8net Brickell as our Carnival Queen Candidate and Dayle McMullen as her escort. Bill Reeves was again elected President, Dayle Mc- Mullen, Vice-Pres., Frances Scott, Sec.-Trees., and Barbara Franklin, Class Reporter. Also this year, Barbara Franklin was chosen as Basketball Queen. In '5?, CO ch McNutt was chosen as our Junior Class sponsor. This year Joan Cox was elected Carnival Queen Candidate and Leon Hudson was her escort. Again, the Basketball Queen, Lula Mae Simpson, was chosen from our class, and Barbara Franklin and Jo Janet Brickell were her attendants. Bill Batchelor was President, Bill Reeves, Vice-Pres., Frances Scott, Sec.-Tress., and Barbara Franklin, Reporter. This year we presented a class play, A Feudin' Over Yonder. The proceeds from this, over $100, went into the class fund, making the treasury at the end cf the year, $l8o, to be carried over into our Senior year. _ ... At last it was '53 and we knew we'd be leaving dearole'N.H.S. with is a few short months. Throughout the entire year, we worked, scraped our pockets for the last few pennies, and saved all we could for the trip which we had planned to take. Through Mrs. Ratcliff's and Mr. Humphries kskilled guidance, we had our $1300.00 which was our set goal for the trip with the Robins Educa- tional Tours over the southern states. Vivian Moore was elected President,Ellen Reynolds,Vice- Pres., Frances Scott, Sec.-Trees., and Barbara Franklin, Class Reporter. Vivian Moore was our CarnivaL Queen Candidate and .Valter Blagg was her escort. Again we were pro id of our class renre- sentation in the Homecoming events. Darlene Murray was elected Homecoming Queen and Bill Reeves was her escort. Lula Simpson,Ellen Reynolds,Margaret Raper and Vivian Moore were Darlene's attendants and .Valter Blagg was an escort. We had stands throughout the basketball season, and at the play-day events,etc. We also presented our class play, Headin' for a .Veddin' on April lo, and it was a great success.
