CONFERENCE One new team, Enloe of Raleigh, was added to the Conference schedule. Broughton won one and Enloe the other. During the season Broughton had the satisfaction of winning over Enloe, Burlington, Goldsboro, Wilmington, and Durham. They never made it against Rocky Mount and Fayetteville the top two teams of the conference. No other team had a Pete Maravich. ln spite of his fantastic scoring ability, Broughton was not on top in conference play. In conference playoffs Broughtonis hopes for ven- gence were sparked by a win over Wilmington. But then there were losses to Fayetteville and Rocky Mount.
