At last we were seniors . . . We felt that Broughton was truly ours now. Day after day we retraced our well-worn paths from old lockers through the halls to classrooms that now seemed familiar and warm to us. Study no longer seemed such a drudgeryg learning took on new meaning under the guidance of highly skilled teachers whom we come to love and appreciate for their humor, intelligence, and interest in us. Each event took on new significance throughout the year . . . our last football game, our last dance-and our last assembly. How proud we felt as we marched down the aisle in our strange-feeling caps and gowns. We looked around us and really saw-perhaps for the first time-our classmates, some of whom we would never meet again. Next year we'll all be scattered and gone . . . but Broughton will always hold a special place in our hearts. It was here that we first began to develop our hopes and ideals . . .
