. -...,,.,, 'Al Q1 1 . ' THROUGH THESE GATES We have learned, experienced, shared and dreamed. Three full years have molded ideas, instilled in our minds, and, taught us to live . . . together. Each year has been special, to the seniors, it has been a period of LOOKING BACK. It was the year of many changes. We'll remember it for the winning of the State 4A Football Championship and the birth of the victory vest. Pep rallies, cheerleaders, bleachers, and pom poms- never has there been such spirit-for it was 1961-62. The students worked together for unity. Homecoming had that extra special touch, Oklahoma was an unbelievable success, and The Queen of Hearts had that intangible something that had never before been present. It was 1961-62. Again it was the year of changes. The Student Faculty Olympics replaced the overly Worn basket- ball game and met immediate acceptance. We flew the No. 1 flag with pride, we worked together to improve our cafeteria. Togetherness, it was the year 1961-62. The Inter-club Council came into being. Sophomores sold magazines, juniors ate doughnuts, seniors served barbecue. Budding journalists made a pilgrimage to the Big City. It was the year 1961-62. And the seniors, just the seniors--laughed at class night, listened at baccalaureate, thought at the junior-senior assembly and cried at graduation. For it was their last year together. It was the year 1961-62. 6
