Harry Clinton Gossard, B. S., Ph. D. Dean of Men This is the first year that Nebraska Wesleyan University has had a Dean of Men. This position has been created in order to give each man every possible help in making his college life most effective and productive. In harmony with the more recent development in American educational institutions, the function of the Dean of Men includes three phases of work: the handling of academic difficulties, general personal problems, and Vocational Guidance. In our in¬ stitution an effort is being made to seek out and remedy the causes of scholastic difficulties, to meet the intimate personal problems of the student’s life, and to give aid and direction in reaching a decision concerning the choice of one’s life work. 1 V i Page Twenty-three
