Seeking Leadership “Cage the Cards Glen Lockhart. Keith Drake. Sponsors. J. Fisher, Pres.; P. Dickey. Sec.; J. Brown. Treas.; O. Gig-stad, V.-Pres. Not faced with the confusion of being sophomores or the finality linked with being seniors, but with energy and enthusiasm; the class of “70” made history. Under the leadership and guidance of the class officers, the Fort Teen Board representatives, the Student Council members, and the class sponsors, the junior class enjoyed another successful year. By taking part in the Homecoming activities, for the second year in a row the juniors received first place in the float competition. The theme of their winning float was “Cage the Cards.” All through the 68-69 school year the juniors showed outstanding ability in many areas. A candy sale was proven to be a very successful way of adding to the junior treasury. The juniors showed their acting ability by taking part in the All School Play, “Little Women,” where three of the four leads were played by juniors. Those chosen to participate in the State Music Clinic and the Hastings Honor Band were from the junior class. Athletic ability was shown in sports with a number of juniors selected for all-conference teams. The 121 members topped off their junior year with a very successful Prom. The theme and plans for the Prom were secretly guarded, but hard work paid off in a very memorable event. The junior class looks forward to ending their years of high school with a successful senior year. 19
