PHYSICAL EDUCATION An exquisite physique to go with our extraordinary minds is the goal of the PE department. Boy's and girl's physical education is required for all sophomores. Here students improve their physical ability while learning the importance of sportsmanship and fair play. Girls enjoy a variety of sports including volleyball, basketball, and deck tennis, as well as bowling, tennis, roller skating, and archery. For boys there are basketball, table tennis, and gymnastics. 13 Help !!! We want two !!

GUIDANCE AND LIBRARY Mrs. McGaffey NCHS students find their unusually beautiful and finely equipped library a successful means for broadening their education by reading information and entertaining books and periodicals. Every NCHS student plans his own future with the helping hand of our guidance director. Subjects and activities are coordinated to fit everyone's needs. In addition, the director is faced with the tasks of planning different scholastic tests and the annual Career Conference. Miss Gunlach Now whose coming? Let's keep working.

Mr. Sorenson Mr. Williams Non college bound students have a variety of vocational courses to choose from at NCHS. Agriculture is the basis of our mid-western economy. A four year course is offered for our Future Farmers of America. Metal shop, wood shop, advanced shop, plus mechanical drawing are courses offered to the mechanically minded students at NCHS. The home is the backbone of our country and for NCHS girls there are a variety of homemaking courses available. For the business bound students typing, office courses, bookkeeping, business English and law, plus shorthand are offered. 14
