Many early rising students participate in the very popular band and choir activities as well as small group and solo work. Orchestra for stringed instruments rounds out the musical picture. Art is another activity which gives the student the chance to work creatively and experiment with various mediums. What we don't go through! ! Wo Uju Imu the Past: 44 B. Ca, 1066, 1492, 1776 Edward Ellis Micheal Murphy The happenings of the past and the people around us all help to mold the world in which we live. To help the students understanding of this important subject, NCHS requires a three and a half year study of history. A semester of world geography is a must for freshmen. Sophomores study the shaping of culture in either civics or ancient history, and for Seniors the timely study of modern problems. 13 Whether we use paper, wood, clay or plaster, we are required to have a project. Even though the wasps chase us out of our room, we still have class in the hall. All this research is a lot of work, but memorizing it is even harder.

Whether after high school plans include college, a vocation, or marriage, guidance counseling gives the student invaluable help and information. Putu Ub Doris McGaffey Robert Norton Hey! Do you think these colors will look alright for our Christmas door decoration? The guidance office also administers many tests which help reveal the students knowledge and potential. These tests include SCAT, the Kuder Inventory, National Merit Exams, PSAT, ITED, and many others. The guidance office is also responsible for the Conference on Careers and Training Opportunities in Cooperation with the Student Council. Now are you sure that you would like to carry that many courses? 15 To prepare for the future we take long and hard tests.
