P,p PEP CLUB OFFICERS: Paasch, Treas.; Jones, Pres.; Barton, Sec.; Gerber, V. Pres. Go. Pioneers, go! The purpose of the Pep Club is to promote pep and enthusiasm among the students during the football and basketball seasons. Although this was not a victorious year for the Pioneers, the pep club girls helped to support school spirit and back their team in many ways. Led by the cheerleaders, they made colorful posters, decorated for home games, participated in pep rallies, and traveled through rain and snow to watch the boys play. At the end of the sports season the pep club decorated and helped serve the Optimist Athletic Banquet. Mrs. Jessie Ott is sponsor for this organization. Members of National Honors Society are also members of Student Council. They are chosen by the high school faculty on the basis of character, scholarship, leadership, and service. Members must be in the upper third of their class and only fifteen percent of the class may be selected. This year members were distinguished by gold blazers worn each Wednesday.
