Usually if anyone got caught after lights out it was me, probably because mom knew me best. However, the night my roommate and I remember best was the night my roommate bought a melon on the way home from a softball game. We were all on one bed, with four heads over the waste basket as precaution for the drippy juice. There was a knock on the door, we were sure it was Mom. Everyone dived for their hiding place, only to discover it was only my sister who combined her hunger for watermelon with her delight in a good scare! After the 6:30 bell rang, I awoke to the rustle of paper outside our door. I knew it had to be Fairy and Betty There was a knock on the door, I opened the door and there it was, a wall of newspapers!
