This happened around camp time and the doctor gave me permission to go to camp if 1 would be “quiet The next morning | went outside and did calisthenics right along with the rest of the kids and in the afternoon | participated in recreation That evening the camp nurse carried me to the car to take me to the doctor because | had ripped some of the stitches out. On the way down the steps she slipped and sprained her ankle; but she didn’t drop me. Just as I got to the end of the driveway the wind really started to blow and | fell down o n the ice. 1 tried to get up about five times, but the wind was blowing so hard and it was so icy I simply couldn’t do it. By that time everyone on the bus had their noses pressed against the window to see the show Finally the bus driver had to come help me, and the whole bus was absolutely roar- ing by the time I got on the bus!
