JUDY KAY KRACHT Bloomfield, Nebraska Colossians 3:17 “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.” Judy says her favorite time of day is 9 P.M. “because evening study hall is out and we are free to go to bed or have a little fun in the dorm. ?” She may appear to be quiet but When I was about the age of 9 or 10, I cut the top of my foot and had to have stitches. This happened around camp time and the doctor gave me permission to go to camp if 1 would be “quiet The next morning | went outside and did calisthenics right along with the rest of the kids and in the afternoon | participated in recreation That evening the camp nurse carried me to the car to take me to the doctor because | had ripped some of the stitches out. On the way down the steps she slipped and sprained her ankle; but she didn’t drop me. FAIRY FAITH NICKOLAUS Hampton, Nebraska Colossians 3:2 and 3 2et your affections on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God Busy Fairy is pretty much the life of the dorm and of other places One cold, icy, terribly windy day when I was in the 7th grade, I walked out the driveway to get on the schoolbus. The end of the driveway slants up to the road, and this day it was completely covered with ice. Just as I got to the end of the driveway the wind really started to blow and | fell down o n the ice. 1 tried to get up about five times, but the wind was blowing so hard and it was so icy I simply couldn’t do it. By that time everyone on the bus had their noses pressed against the window to see the show Finally the bus driver had to come help me, and the whole bus was absolutely roar- ing by the time I got on the bus! I've never heard the end of it: Band—1,2,3,4 Teen Tones—4 Choir—2,3,4 Volleyball—3,4 Girls Glee—1,3,4 Diplomat Reporter—=3,4 Sophomore Sextet—2 Class Secretary- -2,3 “Nobody knows the trouble we've onl 3 sca bl anerny aS a but we keep trying to tell em. FAITH NAOMI NORRIS Cortez, Colorado Psalm 51.12 “Restore unto me the joy of the salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit Faith, the daughter of missionaries to the Navajo tribe in Colorado, finds life interesting in more ways than one. For instance ... “I remember the week Marilyn, Diane, and | ate five watermelons—big ones, too. We bought one of them at a highway stand on the way home from a softball game. So there we were, the three of us, hanging out the back of Wright's station wagon, so as not to get juice all over the car, eating watermelon. By the time we got home, we had eaten the entire watermelon. When Mr. Wright let three juice soaked girls out of his car, he ordered them to wash the seeds and juice off the back end of this car. Our precautions weren't quite enough!” Girls Glee—3,4 Softbali—4 Track—3 Volleybali—3,4 “No matter where you go in life that is where you will be.”
