Ediger The signifiance of the mention of the word “eagles” in Isaiah 40:31 has been expounded many times. Eagles in this case are used to define a char- acteristic that those who know and trust God possess. The name “Eagles” is the one that Nebraska Christian High School has accepted as its school name. May it always be that through the training and experiences received here, the Eagles of N.C. will be distinguished by that which we read in the first part of Isaiah 40:31. May the characteristic be that these are ‘they that wait upon the Lord.’ Then, and then only will the products of this school meet the scriptual qualification of an eagle. For this the school exists.
