Virginia Thompson Graduating Class Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. John 15:5 Rancher? Stenographer? Technician? Nurser Engineer? Law- yer? Missionary? Farmer? Politician? Pastor? Teacher? What will it be? The list above is a very small glimpse of the many, many voca- tional choices that are open before our graduating class. Is training for vocations the prime objective of this school? Detinitely not! The prime objective is found in the Scripture on this division page— “Herein is my Father glorified that ye bear much fruit.” This has reference to the fruit of righteousness resulting in witnessing for Christ. All other vocations are secondary. Since the dorms are the home away from home for most N. C. H. S. students, the same holds true here. Many find their lives being molded by Spiritual fellowship and devotional times. Even the rules are a reminder “to do all to the glory ot God.” Mrs. Hilderbrand 6:30 A.M. Other Classes Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:16 We can compare ourselves to an open fireplace. We have no “light” in ourselves, and we cannot perform “good works.” But we have Jesus Christ, “the light of the world” and “the light of life,” living inside us. The heat of this fire is His love toward all men. We do not force the light to shine, or strive to do good works, but merely “let’—permit Jesus to work and shine through our lives. Nebraska Christian High School wants each student to spend some time in recreation. Time is provided for playing games and having a social time with other students. Here students can forget books and studies and enjoy themselves. These times of recreation ar directed toward one goal: that through these times of recreation and fellowship God may be glorified in every life and through every part of our school's pro- gram. Romans 15:6 “Interests © are as varied aS the people who possess them. But the verse on this page suggests two things that characterize every- ones interests: first, they originate in the mind—with the will; second. they direct our words and actions—influence the things others see in us. And for Christians, there is a third common characteristic of all their interests: they center upon the Lord jesus Christ, and serve to glorify Him. Every ministry, no matter how humble in mans sight, is a God-given task. No lesser power than His can properly complete it. Each one must lean hard upon Him. None is sufficient in himself. Only by doing these things will God be glorified in Nebraska Christian High School.
