To know ourselves is a big step in growing up, but to accept what we've discovered and BE what we ARE is just as important. For some of us the struggle was long and hard, for others, short and smooth. But however long or short we all came to realize that there is a world awaiting usg not a small and uncomplicated world, but a world that involves our whole persons so completely and wholly that we must be prepared to meet it and make it what we want it to be. This past year may have been the last for us to think about our future, now we have to approach it, and hopefully approach it with the confidence and the hope that our lives will truly be lives pf Constant awareness of others, constant Contact with people and constant Growth through Involvement.

Breaking boxes in a one story world. I opened myself' to the whole universe and found it was lovin! . . . jim McGlynn There's no place like h0me?' '-1-? 'f To share. . . to give. . . to meet . . . to encoun- ter and again to grow. We learn something new every day we live. The best thing we can do is to relate what we've learned to others. Some students do this through the C.C.D. classes, some through contact with new people and some just by knowing each other. In each case we meet people who share the same times, problems and challenges of now ,

Activitie Searching. . . finding. . . learning. . . growing. . . living. That is our role, now, and every day of our lives. We will encounter people, people who are alive, who act, think, who Want to be happy. We must be able to adjust to each individual we meet, to live our lives in a way that helps others to live. To do this by oneself is not possible. Each of us will have to cooperate with others all of our lives. This past year has given us many opportunities to learn how to Work, play, to live together-sports, plays, speech teams, student council. All of them needed the coop- eration of individuals in order to function. All of us need each other in order to live. If, through this year, we have advanced even a little toward this goal, this one way of life, then we have gained a great deal as human beings living in a world of other human beings. Leaderslo zlb Solving Naz Hall's problems, the High School Student Council members are: Ed Cassidy, Dave Novak fViCe-Presidentl, Tom Kramer, Mike Deeney, Terry Hurd Cpresidentj, Greg Henderson, Tim Sawina, and Tom Fleming fSecretary-Treasurerb. The Nazareth Hall Student Council started to show its im- portance to the members of the High School early in the first quarter. Guided by Fr. Paul Mohrbacher, the council con- ducted activities such as a city-wide high school gathering, and sponsored school rings and school jackets. Also as a mem- ber of the Minnesota Association of Student Councils, the Council members were invited to con- ventions and symposiums at places like Denfeld High School in Duluth and Benilde in St. Louis Park.
