JOHN M. REICHART John Although John seems quiet in school, he can make himself heard with the gang. He enjoys reading library hooks in his study periods. John, one of the few general students taking German, can be heard trying out his German on his classmates. Science Club 3. AUDREY M. ROBERTS Audrey Audrey, seemingly quiet on the surface, isn’t quiet at all in Chem lab, German class, or in the lunch room. Her hobby is corresponding with her many foreign pen pals. Audrey’s name is a regular feature on the honor roll, for she is conscientious and a hard worker. Her aim for the future is to be a nurse. Comet. Editorial 3; Dramatic Club 1, 2, 3; Glee Club 1, 2; Prom Com- mittee 2; Student Librarian 2, 3. MARGARET I. RULOFF Peanuts One glance at Peanuts will show how she gained her nickname. Small, lively, talkative, and a friendly personality describe her accurately. Her ability in commercial work was shown by her work as a Comet typist. After graduation she will seek secretarial work. Basketball 2; Blue and White Typist 2; Comet Typist 3; Magazine Cam- paign, Renewal Manager 2; Prom Committee 2. EMMA I. SAYLOR Emma Hold on, kids!’’ shouts Emma as she whizzes by in her girl-filled Chevy. 'Phis tall, slim senior is active in gym class and has helped her team out of many tight spots. After school each day she works at the waist mill. In the future Emma intends to be a secretary. Commercial Club 3; Dramatic Club 2. GRACE F. SCHAFFER Grace Want to know about the latest book she read? Grace could probably give you a good summary, for reading is a favorite hobby along with talking and writing letters. Grace isn’t too interested in school, but she usually manages to come through all right. Dramatic Club 1, 2; Glee Club 1, 2, 3. 26

MARLYN R. PETTY Marlyn Marlyn’s broad smile lor everyone makes him outstanding among his pals. Bringing the fellas to school in his old Ford seems to he one of his big joys. Hunting and fishing hold much of his interest while school seems to be one of his lesser joys. His ambition, he says, is to become an electrician. HAITI E E. PETZ Hattie The Sea! The Sea!” That was Hattie’s chant as the elocutionist of the senior play, A Date IVith Judy. If you sec a gray Plymouth with smoke pouring out of it, don’t be alarmed; Hattie has just been driving with the hand brake on. Baseball 2; Dramatic Club 3; Senior Play, Minor 3; Volleyball 2. PAUL S. PORT Paul Paul hails from the city of Stockertown. He is rather silent in school, but out of school, he’s quite a talker. Paul showed great interest in Mr. Goulding’s Weekend Work Camp” project and spent some time there. He intends to become a truck driver. Dramatic Club 3; Prom, Refreshment Committee 2; Science Club 3. RICHARD H. REAGAN Dick Swish! There goes that Ford with Dick at the steering wheel. His little Model A serves as a means of transportation for him and his schoolmates. Richard has a fondness for horses and rides in his spare time. He plans to be a mechanic after graduation. GERALDINE A. REESE GYrry That slim and neat Gerry is another of the dependable commercial students is proved by her willingness to work as a Comet typist. She is an active member of the Dramatic Club. KATHLEEN M. SCHISLER K itten Kitten would like to spend the rest of her life just dancing. Schisler and homework do nor mix very well, hut she does enjoy all sports. It seems that deciding between Nazareth and Easton takes a great deal of her time. Basketball I, 2; Commercial Club, Treasurer 3; Glee Club 1, 2. KATHLEEN A. SCHNERR Schnerr ‘Til drive men mad, mad, mad!” That’s Kathleen as Judy in the senior play. She holds two top positions at N. H. S. — Co-editor of the Blue and White and Associate Editor of the Comet. In the future she hopes to enter Susquehanna University. Band. Drum Majorette 2, 3; Blue and White 1, Associate Editor 2, Co-Editor 3; Comet, Associate Editor 3; Glee Club 1, 2; Student Council I; Senior Play, Major 3; Prom Committee 2; Dramatic Club 1, 2, 3. HERBERT H. SCHRAMM Herbie Herbie is a prankster and manages to be out of the teachers’ good graces much of the time. After school he works or can be seen driving his father’s car around town. When he graduates, he plans to be a moritcian. Forum Club 3. HILDA M. SCHULTZ Shorty Hilda believes in expressing her opinion, especially when she feels she’s right. Shorty can hardly ever be seen going anywhere slowly, especially on her daily noon hike out to East Lawn. Hilda’s strong imagination should bring her lots of fun in the art of hairdressing. Dramatic Club 2, 3; Glee Club 2; Senior Play, Property Committee 3. PHYLLIS M. SHERMAN Phyl Phyl rushes from Blue and White to Comet Editorial Staff meeting or maybe basketball or baseball, because she participates in many activities. Sherman is interested in everything except boys.
