KENNETH W. KULP Dutch Here’s a boy that’s really been around. Before coming to Nazareth, he had attended two other high schools and served in the Navy in the South Pacific. Dutch enjoys baseball, and building scale model airplanes and ships. GERALD W. KURTZ Kurtzit If you should see a group of girls crowded about a rather handsome fellow, chances arc, they’re admiring Kurtzie, the most MISS informed guy in the senior class. Kurtzie’s favorite hobby is chemistry. He experiments regularly and sometimes with startling and unexpected results. Baseball, Assistant Manager 1; Football, Varsity I, 2, 3; Science Club 3; Track 2. ANNA B. LAUBACH Ann Despite her after-school job, Ann does take an interest in her school work. What makes Anna want to study Consumer Science? Could it be because of her interest in a certain mechanic? Blue and White Typist 2; Dramatic Club 3; Glee Club 1, 2. ROBERT G. LEH Bobby “Well, the way I look at things, it seems to me that”— yes, it’s the professor himself starting one of his daily speeches in P. D. class. That Bobby is an able speaker was shown by his winning first prize in the Oratorical Contest in his sophomore year. Band 1, 2, Librarian 3; Blue and White 1, 2; Comet, Photography 3; Forum Club 1, 2; Oratorical Contest 1, 2; Science Club 2; Senior Play, Major 3; Photography Club 2. HILDA A. LIEBERMAN Hilda One activity that Hilda especially likes is working on the Blue and White Business staff. She was also a faithful member of the Commercial Club and enjoyed the club trips. Since Hilda enjoys square dancing, you will probably find her at Tatamy Fire Hall on Saturday nights. Blue and White, Business 2, 3; Commercial Cluh 2, 3. 20

ADOLPH A. KLUSKO Adolph That Adolph is hashful is proved by the way he blushes at the slightest bit of teasing, especially from girls. Although this Bath lad is quiet, he served as a valuable member of both football and baseball teams. His spare time is spent at the Bath Candy Kitchen or driving around in a maroon Dodge. Baseball 1, 2; Football 1, 2, 3; Science Club 3. SHIRLEY ANN KNAUSS Shirley Always laughing, always ready for fun, but never too enthusiastic about studying — that’s Shirley. Her athletic ability has urged her team on to victory in many a gym class. Shirley is very interested in Northampton. What's wrong with the Nazareth boys, Shirley? Glee Club I, 2, 3; Prom Committee 2. CHARLES E. KNECHT Moose Meet the first semester president of the senior class! Charles is a member of the high school band and its student director. At last year’s annual band con- cert he was a clarinet soloist and he also represented N. H. S. at the District Band at Palmerton. His studiousness should aid him at college. Band 1, 2, Student Director 3; District Band 1, 2; Blue and White 1, 2; Comet Business 3; Class President 1, 3. ISABEL S. KOCHER Kocher As a Comet typist, Isabel helped to prepare our book for the printers. Kocher enjoys her P. D. discussions and shows her ability to think things our clearly. Her name frequently appears on the honor roll. We hear that she circulates in the vicinity of Point Phillips. Blue and White Typist 2; Blue and White, Business 3; Comet, Typist 3; Commercial Club 2; Glee Club 2. RICHARD W. KRAEMER Dick “1-2-3” shouts Dick from his position as quarterback, urging the team on. His cheery “Hello” and friendly manner toward everyone make him well-liked by all. Much of Dick’s spare time is spent in the kitchen at Hommer’s or driving to out-of-town spots with Charlie. ANNA M. MANNING Shorty Look at our future air hostess! The frequent appearance of her name on the honor roll should help her in her ambition. She is a faithful sport fan and a friend to all. Although she is quite busy, Anna still finds time for her friends. Baseball 1, 2, 3; Basketball 2, 3; Volleyball 1, 2, 3; Hockey 2, 3; Dramatic Club 2, 3; Senior Play. Business 3. GLORIA M. MARSH Marshie Not so much noise!” says Marshie trying to keep the library quiet as she goes about her duties of student librarian. Gloria is always ready to give a helping hand to anyone who needs it. As the efficient and capable business manager, Gloria helped to make our Comet a success. After graduation, she hopes to become a secretary. Mike Here’s Mike, our Bing Crosby, whose singing and acting was a real asset to A Date With Judy. Mike also showed his skill in basketball when he helped us out of some pretty tight spots. He does enjoy driving around in his 1946 Chevy. Band, Color Guard 2; Baseball 1; Basketball, J. V. I, Varsity 2; Student Council 1; Photography Club 3; Senior Play, Major 3. ARDALENE M. MATTHIAS Ardalene That Ardalene loves to gab is evident by the fact that she takes a great interest in giving out the latest gossip. A commercial student, she is preparing to be someone’s secretary in the future. Blue and White, Business 3; Commercial Club 2; Glee Club 2. DORIS J. MEYERS Doris “Hit it. hit it!” cries Doris in volley hall season as she spurs her team to victory. Besides being one of our typists for the Comet, Doris types for the Blue and White. Since her favorite subjects arc typing and shorthand, Doris plans to become either a private secretary or a typist. Blue and White Typist 2, 3; Comet Typist 3; Commercial Club 2. 21
