WILLIAM A. KERLER Willy Willy is another of our many seniors who hails from Stockertown. He does not participate in many outside activities, since he is employed at a hardware store in Stockertown. Sports and hunting take up most of his spare time. After graduation, Willy wants to He a truck driver. Forum Cluh 3; Science Club 3. DONALD S. KERN Kemie Kernie’s tall, lanky, figure is easily recognized in a crowd. School is not one of his main interests. One of his assets is a rare sense of humor, hut even this backfires once in a while. His mind possesses a stubborn quality, and once it is made up, it is not easily changed. Photography Club 3; Football, Assistant Manager 2. SHERWOOD S. KESSLER Kessler Beep! Beep! Here comes Kessler in his Plymouth, the jitney of the Bclfast- Kdelmans crowd. Sherwood’s hidden talent probably lies in playing his trom- bone. 'Phis chap’s interests arc not wholly devoted to school, because Sherwood and school just don’t mix. He is, however, one of the cut-ups of the class. Photography Club 3. JEAN E. KLEINTOP Jean Here’s one senior who studies in the 15 minute periods, hence her 90’s in bookkeeping. Jean enjoys volleyball and is very efficient in smacking the ball across the net. Since many of her evenings are taken up with baby sitting, she is an expert. After graduation, Jean plans to do clerical work. Commercial Club 3. ALICE M. KLIPPLE Irish “Ha, Ha!’’ Who’s that laughing in P. D. class? It’s usually Irish who’s doing the clowning. Aside from being a clown, she is interested in all sports and takes an active part in them. ROSLYN M. KAHLER Jerky Jerky does not have to try very hard to live up to his nickname. Fun-loving and devilish, he delights in teasing members of the opposite sex. His interest in photography is shown by the skill with which he snaps and develops pictures. Jerky plans to be a mason. Forum Club 3; Photography Club 3; Basketball. J. V. 1, Varsity 3. BETTY J. KELCHNER Betty Here comes Betty, a tall, blonde hustler, dashing down the hall after absentee slips. Working at G. C. Murphy Co. takes up a great deal of her time. Betty served as a capable Comer typist. Her personality and ability will prove an asset in her future as a secretary. KENYON Polly Pauline, small in stature, hut mighty in debate, won second prize in the oratorical contest in her junior year. Polly belongs to a variety of clubs, all of which keep her quite busy. Besides her club activities. Pauline works after school in town. Polly plans to become a missionary. KEPPEL Jughead Here comes Jughead ambling along; however as a guard on the football field, he could speed up. One thing Martin never takes part in is studying, for this is the least of his worries. KEPPEL Crow Crow is that tall, dark-featured lad from room 17. Although he seems very quiet, he is an ardent follower of sports. His specialty is hunting and he can be seen roaming the fields in search of game. After graduation, Crow is going to he one of our local milk deliverers. Science Club 3 17

ADOLPH A. KLUSKO Adolph That Adolph is hashful is proved by the way he blushes at the slightest bit of teasing, especially from girls. Although this Bath lad is quiet, he served as a valuable member of both football and baseball teams. His spare time is spent at the Bath Candy Kitchen or driving around in a maroon Dodge. Baseball 1, 2; Football 1, 2, 3; Science Club 3. SHIRLEY ANN KNAUSS Shirley Always laughing, always ready for fun, but never too enthusiastic about studying — that’s Shirley. Her athletic ability has urged her team on to victory in many a gym class. Shirley is very interested in Northampton. What's wrong with the Nazareth boys, Shirley? Glee Club I, 2, 3; Prom Committee 2. CHARLES E. KNECHT Moose Meet the first semester president of the senior class! Charles is a member of the high school band and its student director. At last year’s annual band con- cert he was a clarinet soloist and he also represented N. H. S. at the District Band at Palmerton. His studiousness should aid him at college. KOCHER Kocher As a Comet typist, Isabel helped to prepare our book for the printers. Kocher enjoys her P. D. discussions and shows her ability to think things our clearly. Her name frequently appears on the honor roll. We hear that she circulates in the vicinity of Point Phillips. Blue and White Typist 2; Blue and White, Business 3; Comet, Typist 3; Commercial Club 2; Glee Club 2. RICHARD W. KRAEMER Dick “1-2-3” shouts Dick from his position as quarterback, urging the team on. His cheery “Hello” and friendly manner toward everyone make him well-liked by all. Much of Dick’s spare time is spent in the kitchen at Hommer’s or driving to out-of-town spots with Charlie.
