Her favorite pastime after school is roller skating and she can usually be seen at a local skating rink. Mary plans to take care of children until she decides what her career will be. Dramatic Club 3. WALTER J. JANDROSITZ Tinker “Let’s go. gang, shouts Tinker, our big tackle on this year’s football squad, to the fellows as they all run out of the huddle. Tinker and homework just don't seem to mix. but he can really work if the spirit moves him. although it seldom does. After school he works at Klipplc’s service station. Football. Varsity 1. 2. 3. GERALD M. JONES Jonesie Jonesie is one of the terrors of Belfast. He could probably do good school work, hut the spirit doesn’t ever move him. Jonesie likes hunting and girls. In the future he will either join the army or become a plumber. Photography Club 3. ANDREW JULIUS Andy Andy, one of our football stars, is quite popular with the girls. He seems to be one of Miss Sloat’s problem children because of his vivacious spirit in home- room and class. With all his mischief, Andy has a big smile for everyone. KAHLER Dottie “Blue and White, Fight, Fight!” That’s Dottie. One of the most energetic girls in the senior class, Dottie has proved to be a peppy cheerleader and a vigorous athlete who participates in all sports. Full of fun and laughter, this happy-go-lucky lass never worries. Bill WILLIAM J. HONTZ With his broad shoulders, blond, wavy hair, bashful grin, and athletic physique. Bill certainly possesses all the requirements for a dream boy, huh, Kiris? As a flashy quarterback on the football team, captain of the basketball team, an ardent hunter and fisherman, and an excellent swimmer, he has certainly proved his interest and skill in sports. Beside being a quiet person, he blushes very easily. Right, Marion? In his spare time Houckie attends Science and Dramatic Clubs. Houckie intends to become one of America’s future mechanics. Dramatic Club 3; Football 1, 2, 3; From Committee 2; Student Council, Vice-President 2; Science Club 3. MARJORIE I. HOUSER Marge This well-dressed senior from Bath has a friendly “Hi” for everyone. Marge enjoys all sports, especially bowling. Look out! here comes Marge and her boyfriend in that eye-catching 1947 Dodge. Although not too interested in school work, she can do fairly well. She is an active member of the Glee Club. Baseball 1, 2; Glee Club 2, 3; Senior Play, Business 3. RALPH M. HOUSER Houser Ralph has helped the N. H. S. Band win recognition. He also helps con- tribute to the noise in study halls and classes. One of those fellows with quite a few girlfriends from Bangor and other places, he could probably give you a lot of advice on the subject of girls. Band 1, 2, 3; Track 2. HELEN C. HUFFSMITH Blimpy A merry laugh, a terrific sense of humor, and the gift of gab — all add up to Helen. Pedestrians, beware! for Blimpy is whizzing by in her black Chrysler. Secretary of the Commercial Club is one of Helen’s tasks. Helen plans to become one of America’s beauticians. ROSLYN M. KAHLER Jerky Jerky does not have to try very hard to live up to his nickname. Fun-loving and devilish, he delights in teasing members of the opposite sex. His interest in photography is shown by the skill with which he snaps and develops pictures. Jerky plans to be a mason. Forum Club 3; Photography Club 3; Basketball. J. V. 1, Varsity 3. BETTY J. KELCHNER Betty Here comes Betty, a tall, blonde hustler, dashing down the hall after absentee slips. Working at G. C. Murphy Co. takes up a great deal of her time. Betty served as a capable Comer typist. Her personality and ability will prove an asset in her future as a secretary. Comet Typist 3; Glee Club 1, Secretary-Treasurer 2, President 3; Magazine Campaign, Renewal Manager 3; Prom Committee 2; Senior Play, Prompter 3; Basketball 1. PAULINE B. KENYON Polly Pauline, small in stature, hut mighty in debate, won second prize in the oratorical contest in her junior year. Polly belongs to a variety of clubs, all of which keep her quite busy. Besides her club activities. Pauline works after school in town. Polly plans to become a missionary. KEPPEL Jughead Here comes Jughead ambling along; however as a guard on the football field, he could speed up. One thing Martin never takes part in is studying, for this is the least of his worries. Some of Jughead’s time is taken up by helping in his father’s store. Class Treasurer 3; Football, Varsity 1 2, 3; Science Club, Secretary' 3; Track 2. WILLIAM A. KEPPEL Crow Crow is that tall, dark-featured lad from room 17. Although he seems very quiet, he is an ardent follower of sports. His specialty is hunting and he can be seen roaming the fields in search of game. After graduation, Crow is going to he one of our local milk deliverers. Science Club 3 17
