HAGENBUCH Shorty Mix these ingredients — two green eyes, one hearty laugh, and one friendly personality - and the result will be Shorty. She is quite a chatterbox, especially in study halls. He isn’t too interested in his studies and seldom carries hooks, for he claims they're a nuisance. I lahny’s spare time is spent working on his father’s farm. He hasn’t decided what he’ll do after school, but it definitely isn't going to be farming. Science Club 3. BETTY J. HARTZELL Betty Quiet, dependable Betty can be seen after school at any time riding around in her father's blue Plymouth. Betty is kept quite busy after school working for the Bath Garment Company. She has her mind set on becoming a hair- dresser in the future. Dramatic Club 3. ROMAINE E. HEARN Heamie Small in stature, but not in mind! That’s Hearnie, whose name frequently appears on the honor roll. A future business gal. she served as a magazine cam- paign manager and on the business staff of the Comet. STELLA C. FRANCZAK Sulla A friendly smile is one of Stella’s chief assets. Your first impression of her may lead you to believe that she is quiet, hut Stella enjoys telling jokes. Her hobbies include music, dancing, and going to the movies. Her main interest is a senior from room 31. Commercial Club, Vice-President 3; Glee Club 1. DARLENE F. FRANTZ Darlene Zipp! There goes Darlene at 3:30 rushing out to Murphy’s 5 and 10 to begin work. Darlene is a good dancer and enjoys playing the piano. She also enjoys watching a good football game. Darlene is interested in P. D. and usually manages to get into the discussion. Blue and White 3; Student Librarian 2, 3. CHARLES VV. FRICK Charlie Charlie, who hails from Bath, comes to school nearly every day without breakfast, since he’d rather sleep than eat breakfast. Give him a gun and some shells and lie’ll he satisfied. Charlie spends part of his time at noon studying Knglish, since it’s the only subject he can’t master. Science Club 3. RUSSELL J. FRITZ Reds There goes Reds in a delivery truck, helping a town florist. Tall, red-haired, with a pleasing but quiet personality, he has many friends. Reds enjoys many outdoor sports, especially hunting. In school he can express himself, if asked, about world affairs. After graduation he plans to start a florist shop of his own. BERTON H. FULMER Bert Beep, beep! Beep, beep! Better watch out, kids, when “Bert’s taxi” is near-by. Bert is everyone’s friend, especially the football players, as he makes his daily rounds to pick them up for school. He’s not very interested in studying, but manages to get along and stay out of trouble. Football, Varsity 2, 3; Science Club 3. 12

ROSE A. HEI DEN WOLF Rosie Rosie is an excellent sportswoman, whose favorite is baseball. She helped as a typist in preparing the Comet. Rosie enjoys dancing and howling. A cer- tain fellow from Coplav takes quite a bit of her time. Baseball 1, 2; Volleyball 1, 2; Hockey 2; Photography Club 2; Comet Typist 3; Commercial Club, President 3; Blue and White Typist 2. 3. KATHRYN E. HELLER Kathy “Come on team! That’s Kathy cheering our team on to victory. Always a cheery “Hi for anyone she meets makes her everyone’s friend. Collecting records of Stan Kenton takes quite a hit of her time. In the future Kathryn ho|K s to become a medical secretary. HESS Hessie A familiar sight is this short, portly figure striding through the halls or along the street, usually with his pal, Unger. Never boisterous, Louis, nevertheless, has his share of fun. The subject of many humorous stories, Hessie will always he remembered for his ability to make and keep friends. Photography Club 3; Science Club 3. MARION V. HIMLER Ilimler “By Friday?” says Marion after school and Saturdays in her uncle’s cleaning shop. Although this takes much of her time, she participates in sports and is a Comet typist. Although her vocation is still undecided, a certain senior from room 17 might help her decide. Comet Typist 3; Class Secretary I, Assistant Secretary-Treasurer 2; Dra- matic Club, Secretary 3; Prom Committee 2; Senior Play, Business 3. MARGARET I. HOMOKI Smoky Smoky has a great interest in roller skating and spends much of her spare time at the skating rink at Bushkill Park. Her naturally wavy hair and her Hashing smile add to her attractiveness. In the future she intends to enter the business world.
